Freedom to Teach

There are so many restrictions and so much pressure for our children to do well that it’s hard to incorporate the fun and enjoyment in learning!

Teaching life skills and social skills for students to be curious life long learners.

I witnessed educational reforms, the destruction of musical instruments, and restrictions on learning the truth about current events. Freedom to teach reminds me of my teenage years of wanting to learn the truth. After 30 years of living in the US, freedom to teach made me realize how wonderfully our community can come together and help enrich the lives of so many students. Freedom to teach is freedom to let our future generations be creative, talented, and themselves.

Teaching is hard and we need other teachers to share the stress and frustrations, but most importantly, we need others who can share the true joy of what we do!!

I can allow students to learn at their pace and differentiate accordingly to what I believe is necessary. Freedom to teach is not about someone else placing instructions or plans on what is best for my own students.

Freedom to Teach means that educators have the autonomy to do what's best for our children, not what looks good for those who are not in the classroom.
