The past perfect continuous tense helps English learners (ELs) describe actions that were ongoing in the past before another event occurred. In this lesson, students will explore how to form and use this tense with examples.

Objective: Use the past perfect continuous tense in positive form. Compare between the past perfect continuous and the past perfect simple.

Pre-requisite: Past perfect simple.
